Our Doctors
Robert Grillo D.M.D.
Dr.Grillo graduated in 1995 from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey upon completion of the rigorous 6 year BS/DMD combined degree program. He started his practice in Howard Beach in 2001 and has enjoyed being part of the community there ever since. He is proficient in all phases of general dentistry including cosmetic and implant restorative treatment. Annual continuing education classes keep Dr.Grillo current on the latest technology and treatments.
In his free time, Dr.Grillo enjoys gardening, cooking , and time with his family.
Michael Serbin D.M.D.
A Long Island native, Dr.Serbin has been a member of the Grillo Family Dentistry team since 2020. Dr Serbin received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2019. He then completed his General Practice Residency training at Jamaica Hospital and Medical Center. He also holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, graduating Cum Laude from SUNY Stony Brook in 2013.
Experienced in all facets of general dentistry, Dr Serbin strives to make the patient experience an honest, comfortable, and transparent one, while maintaining the highest standard of care. As a matter of professional development and personal curiosity, he continues to expand his expertise in the field. In addition to his full time position at Grillo Family Dentistry, Dr Serbin currently trains at New York University's Post-Doctoral Dental Implantology program.
Dr Serbin speaks English, Russian, and a modicum of Spanish.
Outside of his dental care Dr Serbin loves to play tennis, cook up various exotic recipes, gallivant with his friends, and pine for his next trip to Japan.

Francesca Alesi R.D.H.
Maria met Dr.Grillo while in college at Fairleigh DIckinson University. She graduated with a BS in BIology in 1993 and went on to complete the dental hygiene program at Bergen Community College in 1996. They were married in 1997 and started their family and dental practice together.

Francesca has worked in a dental setting since she was in High School, starting as a dental assistant in an orthodontic practice. She graduated from St.John's University with a BA in English. She joined our office in 2011 working as a dental assistant while she attended the Dental Hygiene program at City Tech. She is a skilled and caring hygienist. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and two young children,

Danielle began her dental career in our office 15 years ago, while still in high school, as a dental assistant. She went on to graduate from the Dental Hygiene program at City Tech. She was born and raised in Howard Beach and continues to live here with her husband and two young sons.

Maryann joined our practice in 2019, when our practice merged with the neighboring practice of the retiring Dr.Aaron Cohen. She has years of experience in both general dental as well as periodontal specialty practices. In her free time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Cindy joined our practice in 2019, when our practice merged with the neighboring practice of the retiring Dr.Aaron Cohen. She has years of experience in both general dental as well as periodontal specialty practices. She enjoys what she does and it shows.
